  I don’t publish articles but I publish pages because I want my blog to be with pages on the menu and not a continuous flow of articles! This said, my friends don’t get the e-mail notification when I publish a page but they do when I publish an article! How can I change that? I want them to have a notification every time I publish something!

  I think the best way to get what you want is to start publishing your updates as posts so that your followers will get notified, keep your static front page but then, in order to show the menu the way you want, either:

  • Set up a custom menu and manually add the posts you want to appear in it each time you publish, or…
  • Don’t show a menu and instead include the recent posts widget at the top of your sidebar, or…
  • Hide your menu and include a text widget at the top of your sidebar and use the display posts shortcode inside it to customise which posts you want to show and how you want the displayed

  Of the three I think the first will be closest to what you have set up now.
