As a book publisher, can we promo our own books on WP.com?

    Hi; I;m a bit confused – I wrote this query, thinking it would be going to WP support, which some forum threads say it should. But then I noticed the bit about support only dealing with upgrade customers, so I guess this is going to the forums, whether it’s right for that or not… If it isn’t right, apologies, but I need to know whether I’m staying within TOS.

    I’m new to WP, but already it’s clearly a vast improvement for me, compared to trying to maintain my websites, even using NetObjects Fusion. However, as I own 2 small publishing companies, I would like to clarify how I stand with your TOS – I want to fit in, so pse let me know what of the following is permissible – a publisher always seems a bit different to any other business.
    I really would like to stay with WP.com – WP.org may be good once we’re bigger, but I also don’t have the time or energy to start hassling with HTML & all the other bits involved. Then I may as well go back to normal websites.

    I’ve looked thru the forum threads on the subject, but they tend to be about individual people. And for the record, I’m not in the least interested in things like Clickbank, or anything that even sounds illegal, scammy, or whatever – we have a sound reputation & credibility, which my wife & I intend to keep.

    1. Can we promo (our own) books on WP.com? And promo our authors, link to their websites, etc.?
    2. Less critical, but can we / and / or our authors sell their books & ebooks, e.g. thru Gumroad or Paypal. If not, can we link to (our own) websites or Amazon for that purpose?
    3. Some of our authors just aren’t up to running their own sites, even WP ones. Can I do this – for our authors, as opposed to people in general?

    Thanks for a really user-friendly system in WP, I hope we can fit in with your regulations.

    P.S.
    I’ve received some comments which aren’t real comments, just links back to the person’s own site. Is this normal? As I said, I’m new to interactive webbing. Thanks for any & all guidance.
