Asked for a refund, have not been refunded

  I was charged for a renewal on my account, but I placed a request for a refund and have yet to be refunded. It’s been over a week, so I don’t know why WP hasn’t refunded me.

  WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 10 business days for the refund to be received.

  It’s been over 1 week, but not 2 yet. I guess I will wait and see if it comes in soon then.

  Question: When I originally went on wordpress to cancel my renewal, it took me through the process and said it would refund me soon–but I never got an email confirming this. Is that normal?

  Hi there,

  Sorry to hear your refund hasn’t reached you.

  From looking at your account I can see you cancelled the purchase, but this didn’t triggered a refund. I have just refunded the $13 to you.

  Refunds usually take about a week to process and show up on your statement. If you want some reassurance that your refund is on its way, you can view, print or email yourself a copy of the refund receipt from your Billing History here:

  Normally you would receive an email containing the refund information — but on this occasion the refund hadn’t been issued.
