askimet spam numbers change but nothing in the queue

The number of spam comments changes daily but my queue lately has always been empty. This bothers me only because it marks a lot of my friend’s comments as spam and I don’t really want those to disappear out into space somewhere.

It’s a problem that effects some blogs and not others, but unfortunately it’s something the volunteers can’t help with; you’ll need to contact staff on Monday as they’re the only ones who might be able to help or to explain what’s going on.

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=20290&page&replies=10As for your friend’s comments, as long as you keep seeing them and despamming them then eventually Akismet is supposed to learn and will stop marking your friend as spam. It also might be worth asking your friend to create a new account for commenting with a different email address; the comments might go through then. Hope that helps.
