Asking Payments for people to run ads

Hi!
I want to know if it’s against the Terms and Conditions if I ask people to pay and submit an ad (a photo, a description and a link to that product) on a free plan
The website I’m referring to is

Indeed a very good question. Have checked terms of use (wordpress.com/tos/ ) and did not found any rule which prohibit getting a revenue out of website built on free plan. So I would say it is ok to earn money whatever wp.com plan you choose.
Of course you have to obey the rules and can not use wp.com based site for unlawful purposes, spam, illegal content etc etc.Anyway, maybe lets ask staff to give a comment on this legal question?

We allow sponsored content, including relevant paid-for ads. But the content must be original and not exist just to drive traffic to other sites – whether or not something specific is allowed will be determined by our terms of service team if and when something is reported to them, so we cannot give you a blanket “this is allowed” answer, nor a detailed answer based on a specific example in this forum.
An ad-network refers to something like Google’s Adsense, which requires our Business Plan. Affiliate networks and sponsored content networks where multiple sites just re-post the same pre-written content/ads are not allowed. This includes things like book/product reviews pre-written by a publisher instead of by the site owner themselves.
