Asking people to log in to WordPress on 3rd party servers

We wanted to post a comment to someone we don’t know wordpress blog, when the login page came up for the blog it was hosted on a non WordPress domain, this means the owner of the blog gets a copy of the password.

This raised concerns so I contacted the blog owner and he said “Oh don’t your your WordPress blog id, just create a new one.”

This seems serious because some people may not notice what is happening and somebody who was naughty could collect passwords. Also it’s a pain having to have multiple WordPress logins and passwords

So is this permitted under WordPress rules?

I don’t think I should at this stage for a number of reasons.

http: //www.q——-.com/blog/wp-login.php is the format of the login page

Okay. My point in asking was simply to make ceratin that you are talking about a wordpress.com blog, not a wordpress.org blog. If you are not sure of the difference, please read the sticky thread at the top of the forum. If you can confirm that it is a wordpress.com blog, that would be very helpful indeed.
