Assign Header Image to a "Category" in Twenty Eleven?
-
I’ve just started a WordPress.com blog (my first blog!) using the twenty-eleven theme. I would like to assign a header image to each of the “categories” I’ve created to organize my posts. Is that possible without writing code or creating a “child theme” (unfortunately, neither of which I know how to do)? Thank you very much for any assistance you might offer.
If it helps, my ultimate goal is to create a blog with posts organized by location (with each location “clickable” in the header menu), and I would like each location to have a specific header image and contain the posts re that location. For example, “Chicago” would be a location listed in the header menu, ideally, I’d like to be able to click on “Chicago” and be directed to a new page that has a Chicago-specific header image and contains all of the Chicago related posts. Thx!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot set featured images for category, tags, archives pages or for the main post page. Featured images are for static pages and single post pages only.
This could be done with some knowledge of CSS and the Custom Design upgrade. It would take specific CSS for each category page.
