Assigning a post to a diffrent page (tab)

How do i add a Post to a different Page in WordPress?
Besides, “Home” and “About”, I have a page called “My Poems” and I want to assign certain posts to be posted under this page.
This page seems to indicate this is not possible:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/problem-with-page-and-editing?replies=2#post-307625Is this possible?.. It seems like a very simple option, but I have been banging my head aginst the wall for two hours with it..

The way to sort your posts is by categories, not by (static) pages. Static pages are meant to be used for information which rarely, if ever, changes.
It’s possible if you choose to use the inove theme as that’s one of the featured options in that theme http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2009/08/16/review-of-the-wordpress-com-inove-theme/
It’s possible on some other themes by using a trick. If you want your category tabs in the header instead of the sidebar, you can use this trick: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/

Please note that we do require the complete url for the blog in question starting with http:// each and every time you post to this forum.

No, you can not make posts to pages.
You use categories to organize your blog. Write your posts as posts, not pages. Assign whichever posts to the category “My Poems.” Write other posts: say your other interest is nuclear medicine, so you assign those posts to that category.
When readers visit your blog, they will choose which category they want to read: WordPress will automatically generate a page with all the posts in that category.Pages and posts are 2 different animals:

Not really. If you were at Blogger (or many other blogging platforms) you would have only a posting page. Blogger’s about page is pretty sorry and unformatted.
And you might possibly have an option to assign posts to categories.Think of the pages on WordPress as an extra bonus. They let you keep standard unchanging info at your reader fingertips. And they can find what they live via categories.

Is there an easy way to create a page that embeds several posts in the page (through HTML or something)?.. It seems like a fairly easy problem to take a block of code called a post and embed it at another page..

We cannot access the templates containing the php and HTML that underlay the themes that we all share on this multi-user blogging platform.
If you want to hack get a free download of wordpress.ORG software and then you can create a CMS.

@coloneldax2005
You could make a page with a directory of your poetry posts in it by making links yourself, but that is what WordPress does for you by making the category pages. Their software does all the work for you. -

Or make a second blog with the same formating and connect them with the external link trick tt gave you”: -
