Assigning a post to a sub-page

    Hi,
I would like create a corporate sub-page in my blog and be able to assign posts to that sub-page. It would be like having a sub-blog within the main one. Is that possible?
    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes you can, but only one page can work as your post page, not two.

You can do this by following these instructions:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

You’ll need to specify a different page as your front page, and then also set what page you want your posts to appear on.

It would be like having a sub-blog within the main one.

This part isn’t actually possible – to have two separate blog pages. You could separate them by category and then link to that category, but all posts will show on the main blog pages.

If you want to keep them separated from each other, what you might do is to create a second blog for the corporate posts and then link back and forth between the two of them. You could even use the same theme so that they looked identical.

thanks for the clear advice. I was very confused about this.

The original poster has a user name linked to a site which is unrelated to either wp.COM or wp.ORG.

The link from sberkun may not apply to wp.ORG blogs.

thesacredpath is right .ORG or .COM: 2 blogging pages are not possible.
(2nd thought, well, maybe some workaround on .ORG??)

At .ORG, there are a couple plugins, but the one I tested about 6 months ago was flakey and needed work.

There is also some “hacking” that can be done in the backend (if you are a PHP guru) to where you exclude certain categories from the main blog page (the secondary blog categories) and then create a new page type that displays only the categories from the secondary blog. I’m not clear entirely on the details, because I was researching it 6 months ago for a potential client that didn’t end up going for it.

Actually, the original poster has 2 blogs on WP.com :).
Since one is getting more traction than the other, I was hoping I could merge them, while keeping the posting capabilities open for each post page.
So I will keep both blogs separate. Thanks for addressing my question.
