Assigning different sidebars to posts and pages
-
I want to create a different sidebar for my posts and pages. I want the posts to display social media buttons, a custom menu and some post widgets, search widget. I want the contact page have info about my blogs stats like number of follows on varios platforms the number of hit widget. I want the about page to have a sidebar with affilite buttons like PRetail, BloggersWanted, Sverve, BrandBacker, SahreASale, etc. to disclosure my affiliates to my readers. Here I am also not sure whether that would be allowed.
Is doing so possible at all? How can I assign different sidebars to different pages in twenty twelve. If the theme hinders doing so which free themes would allow it?
Thank you very much for letting me know.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
You can certainly keep the Twenty Twelve theme, and adjust your sidebars as you wish.
As your theme only has one sidebar offered in Appearance → Widgets, what you will do is add ALL the widgets you want site-wide, and then adjust the visibility of each widget per page-type.
Here are the instructions:

Thanks for asking! Affiliate links are allowed, but buttons with images are not. Here are the rules on affiliate links:

If I can help further, please let me know. Thanks!
