Assigning various categories to pages

I am trying to have only different pages as my menu items. Now, I would like to connect various categories I have to these menu items (pages). Various resources are available to link pages to categories but not vice versa.
When I click on any menu item (page), I would like to see not just the items of the page but also all the posts from the categories attached.
How would I go about doing that? Am I making sense?

Pages and Posts are not the same at all. One can assign tags and categories to Posts only; not to Pages.
What is the URL of your site, please?

You might want to look at the Display Posts Shortcode.
Using it, you can display posts from a category on a page – as just a title listing or with excerpt, etc. you can use the shortcode after your page content.
