Assistance altering Profile Information

I am interested in altering the Biographical information on my WordPress profile. I have logged in and typed in updated Biographical information in the Biographical Info section of my profile, and have clicked Update Profile at the bottom of the page. Despite these things, Biographical information does not change in the About Author section of the blog that I have.
Would you help me acquire information that would you help me acquire information that would help enable me to alter Biographical information on my profile for WordPress.com?

Hi Justin,
On which site are you expecting the information to update? And where exactly does this info appear on the site?
Updating your bio in your WordPress.com profile will only cause information to update on your site if that information is being pulled in from the Gravatar service. Information that was manually added to a post or page on the site will need to be updated manually on the site itself.
And if this is on a stand-alone WordPress site hosted at another provider, it’s possible that information is cached on your server. In that case you might need to clear the site cache (contact your host for help with that), before the site will pull in the updated information from Gravatar.

Thank you for your message. The information that you provided is helpful.
As for the site on which I would like to update Biographical information, it is below.
When on the homepage of the site above, and in order to view my profile, I click ‘Log in’ under META, and then click ‘Log in with WordPress.com.’ Once my profile opens, I click ‘Howdy, Justin Lentz’ in the upper right-hand corner, and then select ‘Edit My Profile’ from the drop down menu.
After I’ve typed in Biographical information that I would like to appear on the website that is above in the Biographical info box, I click ‘Update Profile’ at the bottom left-hand corner of the page. This does not result in an update of Biographical information of mine that appears own the ABOUT AUTHOR section of the homepage of the website.
I hope that this was adequate information. If more information is needed, please feel free to notify me. I visited the Gravitar site, and reviewed information that was Biographical in nature on the site. The information, when altered, did not change Biographical information in the ABOUT AUTHOR section of the homepage of the website of mine that is above.

Okay, that About the Author section is a widget being added by the Meks Smart Author Widget plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/meks-smart-author-widget/), so that’s not something we have any control over, and I can’t see from looking at the plugin page where that widget actually pulls the information from.
Please post in the support forum for that plugin directly for help with this.

If they are pulling the info from Gravatar, then it’s likely a caching issue as I mentioned above. In that case you’ll need to contact your host for help clearing the site’s cache.
