Assistance finding a new blog design template

Hi there, a few months ago I inquired as to why when using the new block editor with our current wordpress design layout the text comes out indented in. See example here: https://energyathaas.wordpress.com/2021/05/17/shouldnt-we-weight/
I was told that our current design is not compatible with the new editor. Could you re confirm that this is true, and could you recommend new designs that will not indent the text?

Hi @cristinabentley! I see you are using the Carmack theme. And I also see you are using around 180 lines of custom CSS to make adjustments to the theme.
I checked out the demo site’s posts and see there is a sidebar on the left which holds additional post information like categories and tags.
Example: https://carmackdemo.wordpress.com/2015/10/21/a-post-with-a-featured-image/
The text is indented there. Is that what you are referring to?
I notice some of the CSS you have applied may be attempting to hide that sidebar and force the text area to be a bit wider. Is that what you are trying to do, and is that working the way that you would like?
It’s possible the theme is not compatible, but understanding what you are needing to accomplish and how that’s going will help us make suggestions or recommendations on next steps. :)

When using the classic editor (which we prefer), the text shows up correctly: https://energyathaas.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?theme=premium%2Fcarmack
How do we fix the indentation issue? And what new designs would you recommend so that we can use either the block editor or classic editor and not run into these formatting issues?

The 23 themes you see first when you go to https://wordpress.com/themes were all specifically designed for use with the block editor. They’re listed with the newest themes at the top.
