  I have my own domain. How do I go about using that domain for this newly created site?

  Hi @outoftownlincoln, I’d look here. You can either transfer the domain you already own to wordpress to use it, or connect your domain to your site.

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#add-a-domain-name is the main article I found those two links at.
