Associated Email Account no longer exists
-
So I changed my domain, and killed off the email associated with the old domain. As it turns out, I forgot that this was the email account associated with my WP account. So, I would simply like to update my email address in WP.
HOWEVER, WP validates this by trying to send a verification email to my old (dead) address. This puts me in an infinite loop of failure.
I attempted to fill out the account recovery form, but it simply stated it would send me an account recovery link in email. Again, fail.
Thoughts?

Hello there, have you contacted support at https://wordpress.com/help/contact with this issue as you are eligible for direct support when you have any upgrade plan.
According to our support guide on changing your account email address, the confirmation is sent to the new email address. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
The email address registered with your WordPress.com account is your unique identifier. This is how we are able to verify ownership of blogs and accounts and it is very important to keep it updated as necessary.
You can update your email address in your Account Settings.
Once you’ve entered a new email address and clicked “Save Account Settings,” you’ll receive an email at the new address with a confirmation link. You must click the confirmation link to confirm the change and update the email on your account.
Regardless, I’ve tagged this for Staff attention. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you. If you do manage to change your account email address, please return to this thread and let us know. Thanks.

Hi there,
If you contact us at
passwordhelp@wordpress.comwith information on the old address and domain, we’d be happy to see if we can help you regain access to your account. If the old domain was purchased with us, then there should be a transaction URL that you can provide. But, we’ll look into all of this once you contact the email above.
Thanks!

Thank you @justjennifer and staff-doublebassd. For some reason when I submitted the form the first time, no email ever came, so I assumed it went to the old one. Just lost in space. Just did it again, and it worked great.
