At least one of my email only followers is not getting my post in her inbox.

    One of my followers is not getting my new posts in her inbox, even though she is listed as an email only follower on my stats page. Can you help?

    Hey there Karen!

    First, could you ask the user to make sure to check the spam/junk folder in her email program to make sure the messages were not filed there by mistake? Also, she’ll want to make certain that WordPress.com addresses are accepted by her email client. She may have to adjust her settings to indication that @wordpress.com email is safe.

    If your reader is a WordPress.com user, please have her check her settings here:

    https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

    She can click EDIT next to the name of your site, and make certain that she is set up to receive daily notifications of any new posts to your site.

    This subscriber can still have followed your site via email, but have her settings turned off. This will confirm she’s set up properly.

    If she’s not a WordPress.com user, you can have her look at her settings here:
    https://subscribe.wordpress.com

    If this sheds no light on the issue, please have her “unfollow” and then “refollow” your site with the correct email settings. Make sure she gets to confirmation that she signed up for a subscription to your site. Once that’s done, she shouldn’t have any trouble.

    If she does, you can give me her WordPress.com user name and I can check to see if emails have been sent from our server to her email address. This can help in figuring out where the issue is taking place.

    Thank you so much- I sent your note to my follower and she is checking into it. In the meantime, would you mind looking at her profile or whatever to see if you can see the problem? I really appreciate your help. This reader has had so many troubles getting my blog and I’ve love to clear it up.

    Hello Karen,

    It appears as if your follower has inadvertently blocked notifications.

    Have her go to this link:
    https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?option=settingscloud

    As you can see, she simply needs to adjust her settings, and de-select the blocking option:

    Once she has made that adjustment, she can save her changes.
