Attaching an MP3 file to my plog

I can’t seem to attach an MP3 file to my blog. I bought the space upgrade as suggested by WordPress tried Media- Add new- and uploaded to my Library. Every time I try and insert the file into the post the title shows, but the MP3 file does not. Do I need to upload it elsewhere on the web and if so any suggestions?

Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting). Helps us help you.
@yogaclara: You need to get the URL of the mp3 (from “http” to “mp3”) and paste it in the post editor this way:
[audio URL_HERE]
Or this way:
[audio=URL_HERE]
Safer in the html editor. If you paste it in the visual editor, make sure the URL is plain text, not a live link.
And you don’t need the upgrade to have mp3s play in your blog.
@music4robots: You’ve probably uploaded your mp3 in a site that doesn’t give the right URLs. Please paste the URL here so we can see.

One more question if you don’t mind…..
Is there a way to link the MP3 to itunes so people can download it to their own computer and ipod.

You can just post it as an MP3 here, using Insert in Post or whatever the wording is. Go to your Media Library, find the file, hit Insert. That’s the way it’s supposed to work, making the title a link. What I found yesterday is, it’ll put the title in, but not the link to the file, so copy the file link itself and just highlight the title and put that in as a regular link. It works just fine, as you can see on this PDF download I did up yesterday:

I use vox.com as a site where I upload my personal recordings then link those to my wordpress blog.

Thanks for the advice. I also had the same problem when trying to post it as an MP3 the title did not link to the file. I have now copied the file link and added it as a regular link, which also works.
Still a bit stuck as to how to make it downloadable to itunes or to other computers so people are able to listen to my walking meditation on their ipod.
Sorry if I’m missing something obvious I’m quite new to all this stuff. At the moment my walking meditation will have to be listened to in one spot!

if they can download it, they can easily upload it to an MP3 player of any kind, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
