Attaching images to posts and pages simultaneously

  I am looking at how best to manage my image media library.
  I will routinely be adding an image a day to a blog post as of Dec 1st 2011. In addition I want to add the same image to a master gallery on a dedicated page. This is a 365 project if this makes any sense.

  So my question is – how best to manage the images. I have uploaded to a blog post which attaches the image to this post only. I then tried to upload to the media library directly and then attached manually. My issue is that I only seem to be able to attach one image to one gallery, post or page. Does this mean that I need to upload the same image to the library twice and attach one to the blog post and the other to the gallery?

  In order to be attached, they would need to be uploaded to each page individually.

  Instead of placing images in a master gallery, how about having an index page while links to the other galleries?

  Basically, have separate galleries on separate pages, and one main page that links to all of those separate galleries.

  Ok macmanx, need a bit more handholding on this one. I have set up a new page – Alamy 365 gallery – and have already got images posted in blog posts as single and multi-images, not as galleries.

  How do I link them to the Alamy365 gallery page. I have clicked ‘add new media’, selected ‘media library’ but am not able to select the images I want to add to a gallery, only insert into post.

  I will also need to update the gallery each day so this needs to be editable. Is a Flickr gallery easier to embed? Would love an easy solution to display this gallery so appreciate your creative input

  A gallery requires images to be be uploaded through the specific page. You’ll need to edit the page in question and upload the images again through that page.
