Attachment Page Order and Formatting

I have a couple galleries of scanned images on my site. I have the images link to their attachment pages but have a coupe questions about this use.
1) I reordered one of my galleries after first creating it by the page navigation “Previous Image / Next Image” still uses the original image order. How can I fix the page navigation to match the current image order? Do I need to delete and recreate the gallery?
2) Is it possible to format the attachment page or is this a function of the theme? I’d like the image to be shown centered on the attachment page.

Hi there, what is the address of the site you are working on?
Here on WordPressdotcom, the Image Carousel is the default behavior for Galleries. If you’ve deselected that option in WP Admin> Settings>Media dashboard, you can then link to attachment pages, media or none.
1. Attachment pages display the images in the order they were uploaded. If you need a different order, you’ll need to delete the current Gallery and upload the images again. You can only reorder images once they are uploaded when you use the Image Carousel.
2. Generally speaking, the theme determines how those attachment pages display, but that depends on whether your site is using the standalone WordPress software and you have access to the attachment page template HTML and CSS or hosted here on WordPressdotcom with a Premium or Business plan.

My site is a standalone install so I guess I added this to the wrong support site.
