Attachment pages

  Hello! This is my first go at setting up a website with WordPress. I successfully set up a portfolio page (two, actually) and had my images link to the attachment page where I had descriptive text with additional information about each image within each project. I think I somehow created a generic portfolio page and one within the Blask theme. Either way, I was able to see the descriptions when I clicked on an image.

  Now when I click on an image, I see only the image on a black background. No text at all. I don’t know what I did to change it. Is there any way to get my descriptions to display for the attachment page?

  The site https://crookedlittlestudio.wordpress.com/ has no published projects, no portfolio page, and it has the AltoFocus theme activated. Are you referring to a different site?

  Now when I click on an image, I see only the image on a black background. No text at all.

  It sounds like you might be describing a gallery carousel, not a portfolio. Those are two entirely different things. Please provide a link to a page where that happens.

  I’m sorry. That link was for a trial run. I’ve downloaded WordPress through my host, Hostinger. It’s currently on a parked site until I get everything the way I want it. Here is the link: http://u660091904.hostingerapp.com/

  Thanks for the site URL. It looks like the images in the project “relief prints” might be linked to media files rather than to attachment pages, but I’m not sure.

  However, since the site is not hosted on WordPress.com, you’re in the wrong forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org have separate forums, and this forum is for WordPress.com hosted sites only. Please post support requests in the self-hosted WordPress forums instead for help, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, or for issues related to your domain and hosting, contact support at Hostinger directly.
