it happened before to a lesser degree, but today, now, it is blowing out!
After I open my admin site, or even now as I write this, the pages keeps on loading for over 5 minutes. I tried to edit a page and the icon on the browser tag kept on flickering, Editing took a long time, for typing to appear on the editing page. I could not import images.I noticed that the iobit page protection was going wild, protecting 80 to 100 attacks.
I stopped iobit browsing protection and as soon as I clicked on the open editing page, anywhere some blocking advertising popped up, telling me that something is badly wrong with my computer. Another blocking page just told me about a 404 error. The only way to get rid off it was to close down the browser… chrome.
I have taken two screenshots, which I could attache, but I don’t know how.

I copied this from the browser line… but the above does not show that – https is red and crossed out and a red don’t enter sign in front of it.

It sounds like your computer may have picked up some malware along the way. You’ll want to do a thorough check with something like Malwarebytes, which has a free version.

thanks… I’ve checked with iobit malware and the microsoft defender, both did not find anything…
At the moment I am on my daughter’s computer and there are no problems. It seems you are on the right track. I will be away from home for two weeks. As soon as I return I will try the checker you recommended.
