Attempting to cancel entire $48 upgrade and correcting domain name

    Hi!

    As a newbie to WordPress, I wanted to:
    1). Subscribe to a Personal blog domain ($48/year)
    2). Set up the domain name findyourvoice.blog

    I made a mistake somewhere along the line when the various WordPress options spontaneously popped up with the multiple domain options that are available. Subsequently, I…
    1). would like to cancel the entire $48 subscription
    2). learn how to set up the CORRECT request domain name (or something close to ‘findyourvoice’
    3). resubscribe to the personal blog option

    I followed the ‘how can I cancel my subscriptions’ steps to cancel the entire $48 within 24 hours (or at least that is what I was trying to do!).

    Hi Kristin,

    For new domain registrations, you must cancel within 48 hours of purchase to receive a refund. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 48 hours.
    For plans and all other purchases, you must cancel within 30 days of purchase to receive a refund.

    As per support document, if you are under expiration period then you can claim for a refund by following this document:

    It seems that changing domain name is the only issue. So, I would suggest you change blog address. There is no need to cancel personal plan, if you aim at purchasing it again.
    You can change your blog address by following these instructions:
    – Go to My Sites > Domains
    – Click on your domain and then Edit Site Address
    – Click on Change Blog Address
    – Type the new domain name you wish to have.
