Attempting to downgrade and remove plugins
-
Hi I am attempting to return to a personal plan but am having difficulty. I recently signed up for a Creator subscription, but for various reasons it didn’t work out, so I am attempting to return to my previous subscription; however, while I was able to cancel the Creator subscription, I cannot now seem to get rid of the .wpcomstaging in the web address (I have read that I need a paid subscription to do this, but whenever I try to return to the $4/mo plan it says it is not compatible with my site).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
It looks like you upgraded your site to the WordPress.com Creator plan and installed a plugin/uploaded a theme/activated hosting features. Any one of those actions triggered the site to be on a special platform that’s suitable for sites on the Creator plan only.
If you’d like to downgrade to the WordPress.com Starter or Explorer plan, we must remove anything you added while on the Creator plan so that the site is compatible with the lower-tiered plans again.
Please confirm if you’d like us to go ahead with this. Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks! I restored the WordPress.com Starter plan (previously called the Personal plan) to your WordPress.com site. Please note that some content may still be importing to the reverted site. Otherwise, you are all set.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
