Attempting to make blog look as similar and seamless as possible to webpage

    Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to make my blog look as similar as possible to my website:

    blog: http://blog.kifit.co.uk/

    website: http://www.kiperformance.co.uk/what_is_ki_fit/default.aspx

for example, rounded corners on the tables, and a space between the header and the main block of text.

    Thank you for your help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

With the paid CSS upgrade and some CSS experience you should be able to get very close. From the looks of things, Vigilance might be a good starting place as the sidebar design is similar to what is on your website and it would just need to be moved over to the left instead of the right.

If you are good with CSS, I would suggest starting out with Sandbox which is a blank canvas with a lot of capabilities. With Sandbox, I think you could make it identical to your website.

Great, thanks for the that TSP.
I’m not sure my CSS skills are advanced enough at this stage!

You can always play with the preview function in the CSS edit window for free and see where you can go with it. When you get to where you want to be, then you can purchase the upgrade.

Actually I see you have the CSS upgrade.

kifit, good luck I am trying to do the same !!

I would say one thing tho. For a corporate you might want your blog to be a little different to your web page.

Maybe followign broadly similar colours, fonts etc BUT your blog is more YOU and your web page more the CORPORATION.

so aim to make them similar but not the same would be my advice (plus hopefully its easier!!)

kifit, in my opinion, it’d be better if you used Sandbox for that.

I know some people are basically building custom websites with WordPress as the engine so to speak. In other words the site has navigation and content pages and isn’t really a blog at all–although they might have a blog page. Does the custom CSS upgrade allow for that level of customization assuming I use a CSS person who knows how?

Follow up to that, does anyone have recommendations for an affordable person to slice a Photoshop design into CSS and apply to WordPress? Sorry if I’m not supposed to post requests like that here, I’m just not sure where to look!

    Thanks

You don’t need the CSS upgrade to make a site that’s heavy on static pages and light on blog posts. But to make a custom look, yes, you’d need some serious expertise in CSS editing.

Devblog is the master of CSS; there’s nothing he can’t do.

I agree with Devblog. Go with Sandbox. The options are virtually unlimited.
