Attempting to move from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

  Attempting to move from WordPress.com to WordPress.org I removed my WordPress plan and my domain mapping – I am hosting on siteground and tried installing wordpress but when using the link to manage my site I was still taken to the WordPress.com and could still not install plugins etc

  Would really appreciate some help with this!

  Hi there
  If you could cut and paste the link. it would help us understand what is happening, since that appears to be your issue. Are you trying to use the link you were using with your site here at WordPress.com? Once you move away, that link does not apply to your new site.

  However…
  All of this is happening outside of WordPress.com, so we really cannot help you. You might ask Siteground what the new link should be.

  Have you completed the domain mapping process? It sometimes takes a while for the domain mapping process to “get the word out” to the world that your site is now over at Siteground.

  Out of curiosity i tried going to that link and saw

  Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

  so i believe your problem lies there!
