Attempting to update email address in Account Settings

  I receive an error every time I attempt to update my email address under Account Settings.

  WordPress.ORG and wordpress.COM logins are different.

  How many wordpress.COM username accounts do you have?

  Which username account registered the wordpress.COM site?

  What is the exact error message that you receive?

  You cannot use the same email address on multiple accounts.

  Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

  1. Make sure your email address is correct here please https://wordpress.com/me/account or update it.

  2. Then for your verification email check in your email spam filter and under your “social” tab in your Gmail account please, if you use it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/
