  Why are threads being tagged with this silly tag?
  Is it an automatic function?
  Or does someone think they are being helpful by posting what’s obvious?
  Everyone posting here needs wpcomhelp.

  It is an automatic function to help us track the volume and type of threads that are coming from the https://wordpress.com/help/contact URL. We tried to pick something generic instead of a randomized “gagfd9h00aopelf3” tag.

  Please just ignore the tag. It will not have any practical effect on the day to day operation of the forums.
