How do I know if people are visiting my site? I have heard from some that their site had been visited but analytics/traffic has stated no views. Secondly, my ‘Showcase’ WordPress’ doesn’t come up if you type in my name. Again, people shouldn’t have to pay to get their work seen when for example, my site is just a taste of my creative energy to showcase in case somebody wants to contact me for collaborations. I have no money!
Thanks for understanding.

As already said about a year ago, SEO doesn’t depend on the system your site is build or hosted on, nor if you are on the Free Plan or a paid plan.
When I Google “site:http://showcase198.wordpress.com/” it seems your site has never been indexed.
You find usefull information about SEO at https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo/

That doesn’t really help me. Why aren’t I listed without upgrading meaning paying a monthly fee? I am not adding more to my site now it is there just for show and surely that should be respected as I have worked hard on it. The information you have given me about the SEO, with respect does not help me get seen. Please tell me how to get my site indexed without paying to allow me to put up my own creations.
Thank you.

First your site is up and running and visible to the public – https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/showcase198.wordpress.com?proto=http
Second, as already said in previous thread, you don’t have to pay to get your site indexed by search engines. We can only give you tips to get your site on search engines and get a better ranking. But we have no influence whatever on the way search engines, find, index and rank your site.
At – https://wordpress.com/support/seo/ – you find all info about search engines and what you exactly must do yourself to get on search engines and how to improve your ranking. There is even an online free course – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osS8b_XZBg4
