  I need to add audio to my blog for an assignment but every time I upload it I get a message that says that the audio cannot be uploaded due to security reasons​. Is there a way to bypass this or not?

  You can’t upload audio files on the Free plan, but you can share audio on your WordPress.com site in a variety of ways on your site, https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/

  hereforthechaos – are you able to upload the audio no a free service like YouTube? If so that can be embedded or linked on your blog for free.
