  I would like to add a plug in so I can add audio. Do I need to set up a wordpress.org account or is there another way to add the media without a plug in.

  You don’t have to get a separate blog for audio! We have several options for playing music on your site:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/

  Check those out, because you may find a perfect fit there!
