I have uploaded audio file (.m4a). It plays fine if I access it from computers but not if I access it from android phones. How can I fix this?
I have to cancel my wordpress contract if I don’t get this resolved.

Android devices from different manufacturers all have their own default Android music players. Some of those players will not be able to play m4a files, not because anything is wrong with how your file is hosted, or even because it’s an Android, but because that music player can’t read m4a files.

The same problem could happen with other files like mp3 or aac, it depends on the listener’s audio player, not your WordPress setup.

I wanted to test out your specific m4a file with my Android phone, but I only see mp3s in your media library right now.

If having audio files available for all devices is the primary concern of your site, you might prefer to use an embedded audio player like 8tracks, SoundCloud, or AudioMack. These embedded players rely on browser resources, instead of your listener’s device, to load and are much more predictable.
