audio file

Would like the audio file of “The Academy Song” to immediately play when opening up the page. I noticed that I could set it up to do that on a post, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to edit the audio file on a Page.
PLUS – from the way the audio file looks on the page, it says 0:00 – 0:00 so no one is going to know that you have to click on it because it looks like it is empty.
I look forward to your help!! Thank you.

Hi there,
Please note that the [audio] shortcode doesn’t support autoplay, but you can use SoundCloud Audio Player if you want that functionality.
PLUS – from the way the audio file looks on the page, it says 0:00 – 0:00 so no one is going to know that you have to click on it because it looks like it is empty.
As for this I haven’t come across a user who didn’t know to press play, so I wouldn’t worry too much about this. However, if you had viewers who reported this to you, please let me know and I’ll let our team know!

Thank you for your quick reply! Why does the audio file say 0:00 – 0:00? Usually mp3’s or mp4’s say how long the song is, i.e. iTunes. It looks like the audio file is faulty, hence discouraging anyone from bothering to click “play” – It looks like nothing is recorded.

Oh interesting! That thought didn’t cross my mind. I’ll run this by my team and see what they have to say. If there’s an update I’ll let you know!
