Audio files show as code and not the Audio Player
-
I have added links to two audio files in my post @ http://tinyurl.com/2tmc27
1. my audio file on Mediamax.com – hosted
2. the sample audio file that is in the FAQ.Both the codes do not render the audio player.
What is wrong here?
-
I can’t pull up audio from here but the common fault is folks are putting in the code via the Visual tab of teh rich text editor. if you’re using that editor, make sure you add in the code via the Code tab.

Sorry folks, should have checked before posting.
Somehow the ’em’ code snuck into the audio code.
it’s working now.
thanks, anywhooo! -

the em tags are in the demo on the faq page to get the brackets to show up without kicking in the player.
I do the same trick here with html code.

Yes, thanks, Judy.
I posted earlier but the code messed up my reply and so you beat me to it b4 i edited and posted.
Thanks!

Not a problem.
It was strange as I was closing the window, I got the outline of the two players.

I always use the visual editor for this and have never had a problem. Has something changed?

You know every time this comes up, you say that but it’s always what works for the poster. Even on my mu installs.
I’d so love to know what’s going on.

Yes, but the issue wasn’t the editor the OP was using: it was the code from the sample player. If there’s an issue with the editors, I haven’t encountered it on my blog or in the forums. Maybe it’s something to do with the browser?

Well right now I’m using Firefox, but before I was using IE6 and it worked fine with that. Haven’t done one in FF yet.
