Audio Player for Self-Hosted

  Am I correct that the WordPress audio player that works with the [audio] tag is not available/included if you switch to a self-hosted WordPress blog, and therefore that you need to configure an audio player plugin if you go that route?

  Have you checked the WordPress.org plugin directory? That’s where I would look. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

  Yes – there are plugins for audio, I just wanted to make sure I need one and the WP audio player is not available for self-hosted installations.
