Audio player reports file not found
-
I created a page “Selected Beach and Sea Images With Sound Accompaniment.” I uploaded a ten minute mp3 music track to my Media Library. I inserted the code for the Audio Payer including the URL of the music track in the library.
[audio http://bergiesplace.wordpress.com/files/2009/07/la-mer-iii.mp3]The Audio Player appears on the page but when clicked it reports file not found. This with both IU8 and Mozilla. If I just insert the track’s URL on the page and click on it, Quicktime opens and plays the track. I have used the Audio Player for another track in a previous post with no trouble. I also inserted an Audio Player for that other track into the new page post and it worked fine. Any suggestions?

Edit that post, and delete the audio code. Switch to the HTML tab and put it in there rather than into the visual tab. This always works for me, while putting it into the visual tab does not always work.
I have the song in a post on my test blog that you can check if you wish: http://opposablethumbz.wordpress.com/2009/07/16/audio-test/ . After you post back here in this thread, I’ll delete that post.

Shazam!!! Works the way it’s supposed to. Thank you very much! Please visit my journal again in a few days when I’ll have the images posted for a treat to two senses.

I’ve just found out that I, apparently, have to leave the edit page in HTML mode. I switched it back to visual to add an image. After updating the page clicking on the Audio Player returned to File Not Found message. Reverting the edit page to HTML and then updating yielded a page that works OK.
