Audio Player won’t appear in post
-
Here’s the post I’m working on: http://buenaparkmusic.com/?p=12
You can see a link to download a track (This song:), which works. But I don’t want users to download, I would rather stream. Below the link, in the HTML editor, I entered ‘[audio http://buenaparkmusic.com/audio/Nightmares_Appointments.mp3’ and it just posts the naked code. I tried it with an equals sign and got the same result. When tried with a colon, nothing appears; no code or player. I swear the player is installed and activated.
My browser displays this same player on other blogs just fine.
In the Settings for the player, there’s an option to automatically turn all mp3 links into players. I tried that, and it replaced the link with one lonely colon. Seems weird.
I realize this is basic stuff, but everyone who posts about this problem gets it fixed and never follows up with a solution. After two days of bafflement, I need someone to point me in the right direction. Please?

The WordPress.COM shortcode does not work except on blogs hosted at WordPress.com. It will never work for you. You need to look into the WP Audio Plugin at WordPress.ORG.
