audio tag buffer code
-
I’m having trouble adding an mp3 audio. I have the tag listed as [audio http://wpcom.files.wordpress.com/scout-sings-march-28-08.mp3%5D. I just exported it from audacity to mp3, and I don’t think this is this is the code name, but I can’t find a code when I click on it. I just get the winamp box, it doesn’t show me a code. How can I find the code and post this properly?
by the way, “unlinking” did not work for me.

I assume you have the space upgrade (because without it, you cannot upload mp3s). The FAQ on the code is here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/12/24/how-do-i-get-music-on-my-blog/

One other thing – check the url of the mp3 by clicking on edit in the upload area. Then copy that entire address. I’m getting a 404 error (file not found) when I try to locate the file you linked above.

thanks! I’m extremely new and wet behind the ears at this (came over from blogger, and still don’t get everything about THAT). I’m pretty sure that I don’t have a good address. since it’s an mp3 that we made of an audacity (sound of our dog howling), I haven’t been able to figure out how to get a “code” of it.
thanks!

Try uploading it elsewhere; for this I’d recommend the Internet Archive at http://archive.org and then seeing if you can use a link from there. Unless you’re wanting to assert your copyright to that particular clip, then you’d need to use Box.net or some other service. I like archive.org because it’s so easy to use.
