  1. Is there an audio widget?

  2. If I use this [audio=http://whereever.com/somthing.mp3]
  where exactly do I put this on the blog so it ends up in the side bar and not a post?

  The audio player does not work in the sidebar.

  so you can only use the [audio=] in a post?
  odeo is just a skin right?
  any plans for a widget or something in the side bar in the future?

  1) yes
  2) no, it’s a whole podcasting system. The odeo thingy apparently DOES work in the sidebar, if you put it in a text widget, or so I have heard.
  3) ask staff.
