  I am trying to add music to my widget and all of the file types that are listed are not the file types that music is converted to. I have mp4 files, but even if were to convert them to mp3, the dialog box still does not support either.

  You can only use the music widget in your site’s sidebar if you have the Premium bundle upgrade for your site, which allows you to upload audio files to your WPcom website and create a playlist.
