  In widget menu, I see an audio widget, but when I tried it by insert an URL link, like this https://cldup.com/eDYqoIxH2c.mp3
  And it said Looks like this isn’t the correct kind of file. Please link to an audio file instead.
  How to insert an audio widget in sidebar?

  Hi,

  Oddly enough the Audio support page doesn’t mention the Audio Widget, though it does mention the Music Player widget that is “only available to WordPress.com Personal, Premium or Business subscribers.”

  There’s no place to insert an URL link into the Audio widget. The available options include a Title field, an Add Audio button — which allows you to add an audio from either external files or your media library — and Visibility settings.

  You may add an audio file, such as the example you provided above, to a text widget (as well as to a post, page, and other content types) as described in the Audio support page. See the Embed audio from a link section of the support page.

  Thanks for the discussion about this subject, I’m facing same problems, so I can use my blog site easily, I want to use the audio widget, can I use this into my sidebar?.
