Audiotube use without installing plugin

  Hello, i opened a wordpress.com blog (still testing) and although i’m aware that i can’t install any plugins, the information on the following link seems to say the plugin is not necessary:
  http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/audio-tube/faq/
  “Do I need this plugin? No. You can just copy/paste the inc/shortcode.php into your functions.php, following the instructions in this file.”

  Does it work as a regular audio shortcode in a post? like for example:
  [audio http://www.flur.pt/mp3/TEXT014-1.mp3%5D

  But nothing happens when i type for example this shortcode in a post:
  [audiotube id=9IsC_xahl8U]
  (from this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IsC_xahl8U)

  is functions.php accessible from the blog admin area?

  Those are instructions for WordPress.ORG. This is WordPress.COM and our blogs work differently. Audiotube cannot be used here.
