August 8th WordPress.com Outage

  • prettierinpink I believe stats are fully functional. During the outage, no stats were collected (since no one could visit your site).

    If you’re still having problems, please start a new thread on these forums. This one is starting to get confusing with all the different problems people are posting.

  • kdaweb, it looks like your domain’s nameservers are not set up correctly. Did you change them recently?

    You can edit your domain’s nameservers at your registrar’s website. The nameservers need to point to the servers specified in step 1 here:

  • be78 WordPress.org and WordPress.com are completely separate. So whatever problem you had was unrelated.

    I was just now able to register a new account there. Try again? Check your spam folder?

    Not sure what’s going on here, we’ll look into it. If you go to your blog’s Admin -> Appearance -> Widgets and scroll down to the bottom of the page, you should be able to find your missing widgets. Drag them back up to the sidebar.
