  Hello, my wordpress blog is down. I originally purchased and registered the domain with wordpress and transferred it to one.com.

  Now I would like to permanently register and move the domain to one.com. Could you please send me the auth code.

  You’ll need to complete those steps from within your WordPress.com account to start the domain transfer process.

  Hi turtlevagabonds,

  I originally purchased and registered the domain with wordpress and transferred it to one.com.

  I’ve checked your account and the domain wasn’t transferred away from WordPress.com. It appears you didn’t complete the steps needed to transfer the domain.

  Now I would like to permanently register and move the domain to one.com.

  turtlevagabonds.com expired on 2017-05-17 and is currently in the redemption period:

  Domain Expiration

  We can still try to recover the domain but you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee in addition to the $18 domain cost. If you agree, I can send a payment request for that amount and contact our domain registrar once it has been paid. The domain can be transferred to one.com after it has been recovered.

  If you do not want to pay the free, you can wait until the domain is released but there is no guarantee you will be the first to register it. The amount of time for releasing a domain varies but it is usually around 80 days or more.

  Please let me know which option you would prefer.

  Yes, although this isn’t an exact timeframe so it could take longer. If you choose to go down this route I’d recommend frequently checking to see if the domain has become available around that time. You will only be able to register it again if someone else hasn’t already done so.
