Auth codes problems

Hi
I’ve problems using auth code on my phone.
I add the WP account on Google Auth and it works fine and generates the 6 digit codes but when I use the generated code to access to my WP account, WP says that it’s incorrect and I can’t to access.
Now, the only way to access to my account is with my backup code.Any idea about this problem?

Could you please try to disable two step authentication and then enable it again? Preferable also reinstall the Google Authenticator app on your phone.

I tried that solution several times with the same results. When i try to disable auth code, WP asks my actual code, I enter the 6 digits, and then appears the “invalid code” in red.I tried to reinstall Google Auth and the same again.

Are you trying to log into your account through a different browser? Because you are logged into your account now, right?
I don’t think this is the issue but, do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Internet Explore or Google Chrome?
If you’re still having issues I’ll report this to our developers so they can take a closer look at it.

Yes, I’m logged right now on Firefox and I’try to disable the auth code on it without results. I try to login on other browser with the same result “incorrect code”.
This happened after reset of my phone (for other reason) and reinstall the Google Auth on it. -

Could you please use one of the backup codes to disable the two step authentication? and then enable it again.

Two other question to help troubleshooting the issue:
1: Are you trying to use the code you typed during setup to login, instead of the current (newly generated) code?
2: Could you please follow the steps at https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185834?hl=en#sync ?

Some context first:
– I had this issue after reset my phone (for other reasons).
– When I reinstall the app Google Auth, WP login and disable two-step
fail. I’m using the backup code to login.
– First, I follow the same procedure to GMail account and it works fine but WP doesn’t.1. I tried to disabled my two-step auth but it’s requesting me
the actual code so, when I try it I get the message “wrong code”.2. I tried several procedures several times on IE, FF and Chrome. Y
receive the same error trying disable two-step or logging on WP.Unil now I was using the backup codes to logging but they did not work
on disable screen.
I repeat, until now. After that I re-generated my 10 backup code and I
tried one of them and disabling works so, I could disable the two-step
auth :)Resume: the auth code fails when you change or reset your phone. For
same reason, the auth code and the backup code don’t work anymore when
you do that. But, regenerating backup code seems to work well.I hope this help you or other users and if you have any extra
