authenticate API for Jetpack
-
I’ve successfully installed Jetpack but when I try to use the stats, I get an error message that says “”You have failed to authenticate with the WordPress.com API” However, I cannot find where I am to authenticate the API. Please help me out. No one in WordPress.org seems to have an answer.

I already have the API code. I just don’t know where to authenticate it.
In the old WP stats, there was a place to enter the code. Where is it in Jetpack? The Jetpack support offers no help on this – I’ve already checked.

I’m sorry, I’m not explaining myself clearly. The issue does not concern ftp access or plugins. I’ve actually installed the Jetpack plugin and according to its comments, I’ve done so successfully. The issue at hand is an inability to authenticate my API code in WordPress.com.
