Authenticator app

Hi,
I can’t access the authenticator app since changing phones and I’m afraid I can’t find the original codes. Is there a way I can set it up again?

You should be able to login to WordPress.com via your computer and go here to generate backup codes:
https://wordpress.com/settings/security/

Thanks very much, that worked. But when I try to open the app I get a blank screen. If I click the little icon at the top right it’s asking me to scan the barcode?

I would encourage you to not use the authenticator app and just set up SMS to your phone for two step authentication. Solves the annoyance with the app all together.

Ok will do. So do I need to disable it all and start over? I’m not seeing the option to use the SMS at the moment under the security tab.

I would shut it off and start over just to make sure it gets set up correctly.
