Author appears on user list but not in the drop-down authors menu in 'quick edit

    There’s a post whose author I want to change. All of those that have registered as authors for my blog appear in the drop-down authors menu, except one …they appear in my user list (as an author), but are nowhwere to be found in the drop-down menu in ‘quick edit’??
