  my blog followers get email when i publish new post. but the author name doesn´t coincide with the info that comes below it.

  Hi Jo,

  That’s not a problem! That information is pulled from your Gravatar profile, which is available right here:

  http://en.gravatar.com/fghandmadebags

  You can log in with your WordPress.com information (it’s all one big system, Gravatar is a part of WordPress.com), and then update your information there.

  i don´t think this really helps. The information that comes with the blogs and the gravatar info is the same and it´s correct. What isn´t correct is the fact that it puts my name (Jo Carter) and then the info… (I am a Spanish craftsman).
  Do you see what I mean? I don´t want my name (JO CARTER) to appear!

  Ah, I see! I apologize for not understanding. You can modify the name section of the author information under the public profile section of your Gravatar page, or you can change it under Settings at WordPress.com:
