Author Bio at Bottom of Blog Posts Can't Be Edited?

    I found a post that addressed my exact issue but it’s from 2019 and I think updates to WordPress have caused the editable biographical info box to disappear because I am not seeing it when I go to https://dclfan.com/wp-admin/profile.php.

    I understand how to control whether the box displays at all; what I don’t understand is how to control the content of the box.

    Visiting this WordPress support page says to go to wordpress.com/me to update the details. (This is the same page I can get to by clicking my avatar at the top right of any of my websites’ pages within the black strip).

    The issue is that that’s not working for me. The text displayed in my “author bio” at the bottom of my blog posts is completely different from the information displayed in “About Me” on my wordpress.com/me profile. I tried saving a change to “About Me” anyway, and it had no effect on my blog.

    I also tried disabling my Gravatar thinking that it could be pulling the bio from there but that didn’t rectify the issue either. When you hover over my photo, the bio I have on Gravatar pops up, but the actual displayed bio is inaccurate now and there is nowhere to edit it.

    Basically, I found an editable box and a view-only box, and they don’t seem connected which poses two questions:

    1. Where is the editable box for the text that displays at the bottom of my blog posts?

    2. Where does the “About Me” editable text display (since it displays neither at the bottom of my blog posts, nor on my Gravatar page)?

    Hi Jackie!

    The info you type in https://wordpress.com/me should be the one that would display on your sites. This is the same as your Gravatar description.

    When I check the current info there, I see the text that starts with “Senior Editor…”. Is this the one you want to display? If so, everything should work fine, but it may take some time for the changes to be actually visible.
