Author dropdown, WP 5.6

    I’ve notice the author dropdown in post edit page in 5.6 has become much harder to use. Used to be a one or two click operation to select an author. Now I have to either type (more keystrokes) or scroll laboriously in a small box to find the author I want. I can’t recall what was there before but the operation was much smoother and faster, certainly the box and font far larger. Why this regressive step? (There seem to have been so many in recent editions of WP.)
